Are you a moving company?
Yes — RVS Moving & Delivery Service is a fully licensed and insured Flushing, NY moving company running our own trucks and uniformed crew, with New York State DOT authority plus US DOT and MC authority.
What are your local rates, and is $155 or $215 the one I'll pay?
A two-mover truck is $155 an hour and a three-mover truck is $215, each with a one-hour minimum and pads, dollies, and shrink-wrap included. Whichever fits your job, we lock the flat number in writing for you to okay before we lift anything.
Can you move me out of a fifth-floor walk-up with no elevator?
Yes, and Hector runs those crews. We carry furniture down prewar Flushing, Corona, and Astoria stairwells every week, padding the treads and banisters as we go so nothing on the staircase or the piece gets marked.
Who takes care of the Certificate of Insurance my co-op wants?
Grace does. She files the COI your co-op or condo board requires and books the freight-elevator window ahead of load day, so building management clears the move and your day isn't stalled in the lobby.
There's nowhere to park on my block — how do you manage that?
We arrange it beforehand. On alternate-side or narrow streets we pull a double-park permit so the truck stages at your entrance rather than a block off, and we schedule the load around the street's parking rules.
Do you carry proper licensing and insurance for a New York move?
We do. RVS holds New York State DOT authority plus US DOT and MC authority for interstate work, and we carry our own commercial insurance. If a claim ever comes up, our office settles it directly — it isn't shipped off to anyone else.
Is it the same team from pickup through drop-off?
It is. The movers loading your truck in Flushing are the same faces setting your things down at the new place. There's no mid-move swap, and your job is never passed to a subcontractor or outside company.
Can you pack the entire place the day before we move?
Sure — Danny's full-pack crew comes through a day early and cartons everything, from dishes and mirrors to closets and artwork, leaving move day as loading, the elevator run, and the drive to your new address.
If my closing lands after my lease ends, can you hold my things?
Yes. Our short-term storage bridges that stretch when a closing falls past your lease. We hold everything in our own secured space and return it on the date you name, still at the flat rate from your original booking.
The name includes 'Delivery Service' — do you deliver furniture too?
We do. On top of household moves, we run last-mile furniture and single-item delivery throughout Queens and NYC, using the same trucks, the same uniformed crew, and the same flat, written pricing as any full move.
