Full-Service Packing in Flushing & Queens

Packed a room at a time, materials on us, and padded for tight prewar stairwells

Hand us the entire apartment or only the rooms you assign — supplies are built into the price, breakables ride in fitted crates, and the pack gets its own date so it never runs up against truck day. Run by Rafael Solano since 2013.

Rafael Solano here, owner of RVS Moving & Delivery Service. Most people undercount what packing really takes — one Queens kitchen alone can swallow two days nobody planned for. So we run boxing as its own scheduled job, not something tacked onto truck morning. Danny Cordero leads the pack crews, and Flushing families have handed us this work since 2013.

The materials are on us

Closets get wardrobe boxes, stemware and dishes get bundled in clean newsprint, and cartons and tape take care of the rest — with nothing itemized separately. You don’t chase down supplies, and we don’t pad the bill with them. Where a stock carton won’t do, Danny’s team knocks together a fitted crate on the spot. A full pack routinely covers:

  • The kitchen and pantry top to bottom, glasses, plates, and spice jars alike
  • Framed art, mirrors, and fine china, each crated to its own dimensions
  • Closets moved on wardrobe rails, so hanging clothes never leave their hangers
  • Records, books, and the odd bulky item no off-the-shelf box was ever sized for
Team size Rate Best for
Two packers + truck $155/hr Apartments and smaller homes
Three packers + truck $215/hr Whole houses, kitchens, fragile-heavy rooms

Roughly what a pack costs

Job Flat rate
Studio or 1BR, full pack $370 – $520
2BR apartment or small home, full pack $720 – $990
3-4BR Bayside or Fresh Meadows house, full pack $1,440 – $1,980
Kitchen and fragiles only $270 – $410
All packing materials In the rate

Hand us the whole apartment or just one room — point to the china hutch and the pantry, keep your bedroom closets, and the quote reflects only what you assigned us. There’s no upcharge for materials, and $1,000,000 cargo protection kicks in the instant your belongings are in our care.

Padding for prewar stairwells

Queens packing has its own quirks. Because a narrow Flushing stairwell gives you no room to swing a bare dresser past a landing, Danny’s crew shrink-wraps and blankets bulky furniture indoors first, then walks it down protected. A century-old building may be hiding fragile heirlooms and quirky built-ins; a newer Bayside or Whitestone house is mostly just more rooms. The same crew takes either, laying out the plan alongside you as we tour the place.

Box today, load tomorrow

None of the boxing has to wait for move morning. Many families schedule us for a weeknight so the truck day that follows is unhurried, and that separate evening session costs nothing on top. Once it’s all sealed up, local moving handles the cross-town leg and long-distance moving takes it beyond the state line. Need the boxes held a while? Short-term storage minds them until your new place opens. For a number, run your details through the instant estimate tool.

What the Flat Rate Already Covers

Each line below is part of every job as standard — none of it shows up as an extra charge when the final bill arrives.

  • Packers at $155 for a pair or $215 for a trio, starting from the one-hour floor
  • Cartons, wrapping paper, tape, and wardrobe boxes supplied at no side charge
  • Tell us which rooms to handle and the quote covers only those
  • Made-to-measure crates for glass, dishware, and prewar built-ins
  • Bulky furniture padded indoors before it ever meets the stairwell
  • Danny running point on the breakable and heavy-item rooms
  • The pack booked for the evening or day ahead of truck arrival
  • Load protection reaching $1,000,000 from the moment we handle your things

Common Questions

Are you a moving company?
Yes — RVS Moving & Delivery Service is a fully licensed and insured Flushing, NY moving company running our own trucks and uniformed crew, with New York State DOT authority plus US DOT and MC authority.
Can you pack just the kitchen and the breakables and leave the rest to me?
Of course — half-and-half packs are ordinary for us. Mark the kitchen, the china hutch, and the home office, and the quote lists nothing beyond them. Whatever you'd rather box yourself, from the closets to the bookshelves, stays with you and off the bill.
Do I have to stock up on cartons and tape ahead of the packers?
Skip the supply run entirely. Everything — cartons, paper, tape, wardrobe boxes — rides in on our truck and is already priced into your quote. You won't be counting rolls of tape or dashing to the store when a room needs three more boxes. We cover the materials.
My building has a tight prewar stairwell — how do you get big pieces down without damage?
Danny's crew wraps and pads oversized furniture inside the unit before it reaches the stairs, then walks it down slowly around each landing. On a narrow Flushing walk-up that padding is what keeps a dresser and the stairwell walls both unmarked.
Does an after-hours or Sunday pack raise the rate?
It doesn't move at all. The hourly is the same at seven in the evening, on a Sunday, or on a Wednesday afternoon. Scheduling the pack around your job hours or the family's routine keeps the number precisely where it started.
Is it possible to pack the day ahead rather than on moving morning?
That's how most full packs go. Danny seals the apartment on a weeknight, which leaves truck day itself unhurried, and spreading the job over two dates doesn't change the flat figure on your signed agreement one bit.
